Jharkhand BEd Entrance Competitive Examination 2023 : Online application for B.Ed entrance exam starts in Jharkhand from today, how to apply Online application for B.Ed entrance exam in Jharkhand is starting from today, February 10. The last date of application is fixed on 10 March. The entrance test will be conducted on April 23 in offline mode on OMR sheets.The Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is conducting the entrance examination-2023 for admission to government and non-government B.Ed colleges operating in the state. Online applications have been sought from interested candidates for the entrance examination from February 10. The last date of application is fixed on 10 March. The entrance test will be conducted on April 23 in offline mode on OMR sheets. For this, examination centers will be made in six district headquarters of the state like Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dumka and Palamu. Four days before the examination, the board will issue the admit card of the candidates. The questions in the entrance test will be multiple choice. The exam will be of 100 marks. Each question will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. Education  Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed.

  • Candidate with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanities/Commerce, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for appearing in the B.Ed. Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2023.
  • The Candidate will have to choose only one subject (within a subject category) which she/he must have studied in the qualifying degree, i.e., Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree for at least 200 marks and out of which obtained at least 50% in that subject. The subject will henceforth be referred to as the teaching subject in the B.Ed. course.
  • There is no restriction in the passing year to apply in B.Ed. course.
